Vic Mensa – We Could Be Free

[Intro]
We could be free
If we only knew we were slaves to the pains of each other
One thing I believe I could learn
To see my enemy as my brother
Then we could be free, truly
And love could wash away our sorrows
I’m not afraid to bleed
If it means, we’ll make them better today not tomorrow

[Verse 1]
One day I dream of telling my momma
"You ain’t gotta work no more"
Same for my father, born in Ghana, down on that dirt road floor
As far as he came I can’t complain, but pain is so subjective
Spend so much time countin’ issues, I forget to count
My blessings
Watch my cousins back at home, getting water out a well
While I watch my brother stacking stone, whippin’ water by the scale
Tryna’ get a mill’ on the other side
They ain’t got a meal, we don’t recognize we in heaven
So we think we live in hell
It’s been getting kinda hard to tell
But

[Bridge]
Sometimes I wake up and I look up at the sky
Asking why I’m alive when the realest niggas died
And my pride won’t let me give up, lord as hard as I try
In those times I try to remember

[Hook]
That we could be free
If we only knew we were slaves to the pains of each other
One day, I believe I’d learn
To see my enemy as my brother
Then we could be free, truly
And love could wash away our sorrows
I’m not afraid to bleed
If it means, we’ll make them better today not tomorrow

[Verse 2]
I don’t want to wait for the afterlife
I don’t want a vigil by candle light
I don’t want to be the new sacrifice
I don’t want to turn into a poltergeist
Be a ghost at night full of broken dreams
Momma cryin’ at an open casket
Cold as ice in a suit, 3 piece
All dressed up for Sunday masses
Pastor said put faith in God
But faith alone can’t make things right
Who the fuck is you to patronize
Somebody’s son whose daddy died?
Why they flood Baton Rouge?
Why the city singing Alton’s blues?
Why, why, why, why?
I feel like Jadakiss every time I watch the news
What the fuck I got to lose?
So I’m down to bleed if it means things improve
You fools, saying "all lives matter"
But it’s black lives you refuse include
Blocked from the polls
Locked in the hood, trying to stop you from voting and stop you from growing
And cops keep blowing and blowing
Keep black people locked into cotton
They don’t want you to own, but

[Bridge]
Sometimes I wake up and I look up in the sky
Asking why I survived all the days that I could have died
Who am I in my place
To contemplate suicide?
In those times I try to remember

[Hook]
That we could be free, truly
If we’d only knew we were slaves to the pains of each other
But I believe I’d learn
To see my enemy as my brother
Then we could be free, you and me
And we could wash away our sorrows
I’m not afraid to bleed, if it means
We’ll make them better today not tomorrow

[Outro: Ty Dolla $ign and Vic Mensa]
Love (love)

To love my enemy as my brother
(yeah yeah yeah)
Make my enemy my brother
Woah, oh, oh, oh
Enemy my brother

Kevin Gates Is Back To Making Music First Video Of Rapper Surface

Kevin Gates is back home and already he is working on some new music.

The number one rule for rappers getting out of prison is to strike while the iron is hot. Kevin Gates has been trending on Twitter since his release from prison on Wednesday so what better time to drop some new music. Akademiks posted a video showing the Baton Rouge rapper at his home with some friends listening to some unreleased music.

Kevin Gates also posted a simple message for his fans on Instagram saying, “I’m him.” His fans on Twitter have been celebrating his return home but it’s still not clear when we will get some new music. Gates was sentenced to 30 months in prison for a gun charge in Illinois last year but only served 9 before he was released on parole. As a condition of his probation, he cannot be in possession of any firearm and music be supervised at all times.

At the very least we can expect an album from the Louisiana rapper this year now that he is free to hit the studio.

#kevingates officially out of prison and back home.

Fwck the police x10 – Boosie Badazz lyrics

Lyrics Boosie – Fwck the police x10

This goes to that motherf*cker who just maced my niece
Them motherf*ckers who just took a million dollars worth of jewelry from me
It’s on now, motherf*cker
It’s all on now, motherf*cker.((Fwck the police x10)

Dear police, are you afraid? (Are you afraid?)
What have you been taught at that academy to be afraid? (Scared a*s b*tch)
Why you gon’ shoot at the hand, die for the lick (tell me that)
Why you get shoot for the blacks, chasin’ they head (you call police)
What if your job got shot down for no reason? (What if that your job?)
He had no gun, hands up, shot for no reason (you dirty b*tch)
They charge him, said they gon’ convict him, I don’t believe (I don’t believe)
Protect and serve, they don’t do it, so we don’t need ’em.

pus*y b*tches, pigs in trainin’
You b*tches dangerous, look in the mirror, y’all are f*ckin’ [?]
pus*y b*tches, I hope you rot in hell
Hope you get f*cked in that cell, motherf*cker
pus*y b*tches, look how they do us niggas
They wanna act like we wrong, when we shoot them b*tches
Without that badge, you a b*tch in a hat
You pus*y a*s nigga with a gun
f*ck your pus*y a*s, f*ck your captain too
You need a headshot, b*tch, for your sons.

They the biggest gang in the world
They do the coldest things in the world
They ask me how I feel ’bout the cops gettin’ shot
Eye for eye, two for two versuri-lyrics.info
You don’t give a motherf*ck what they do to you
If they can line ’em all up, they’ll shoot the crew
Like the tosser cops, she a crazy b*tch
Inmates listen up, please do me a favor, rape the b*tch
I’m at the point where I hate this s**t
I’m at the point where I can’t take this s**t no more, nigga
If anybody on the news tryna take off for ’em
I ain’t watchin’ your show, you a hoe, nigga
Baton Rouge, Baltimore, ..
It’s goin’ brazy, b*tch down, get retarded
We gotta show ’em that black lives matter
It’s no love for the chief in the casket.

pus*y b*tches, you know that you wrong
You shoot for no reason, you come in our homes, they don’t wanna leave us alone
pus*y b*tches, you committin’ these murders
You scared and you nervous, your purpose is murder
You pus*y b*tches, I hate you with all of my heart
I hate how you look in ’em suits, I hate how you walk in ’em boots
I hate your whole family, b*tch, you ain’t no grown man, you a b*tch
I hope that your daughter, she suckin’, the blackest of blackest of d*cks.

b*tches got me mad and I’m turnt up
They do it in your city, f*ckin’ burn it up
Don’t stop, man, run, better get the f*ck
Like Tip say, man, it’s either them or us
Tell me this, why you shoot that man?
Wake up, it’s the Klu Klux Klan
They just took the white s**t off they head
And put another color suit on instead
They kill two of us niggas every week
Leave us dead, stinkin’ in the street
Say we was a threat to they a*s
But they lyin’ ’cause it’s on TV
And the rules that they got for the law
When them b*tches go to court, they gon’ walk
If the police every ask you a question
Don’t talk, they a interview.

pus*y b*tches, I hope that you die
I hope you get put in the alligator pit and eaten alive
pus*y b*tches, I hope you don’t sleep
I’m f*ckin’ your daughters real hard in they asshole, I’m the policeee.((Fwck the police x10)

T.I. – Black Man (feat. Quavo, Meek Mill & Rara) (US Or Else: Letter To The System Album)

[Hook: Quavo]
Black man, drop top
There go the cops
There go the cops
There go the cops
Is it because of my people?
Is it because of my sneakers?
Is it because of my jersey?
It is because that I’m perfect?

[Verse 1: Quavo]
Ridin’ down 85, three in the morning
Why you pull me over sayin’ you smell marijuana? (Smellin’ the gas)
I said I got a ID, I got glaucoma (I got ID)
He said, "We ain’t in Cali nigga, get out, put your hands up"
Runnin’ real hard shook the taser (shook the taser)
Runnin’ real hard shook the taser (shook the taser)
I told him can we split it, we gon’ shake ’em
Nigga hit my phone when you made it (brrp)
Out of here, PJ to Jamaica
Naw I ain’t tell ya wrong, get the paper
Been fightin’ too long against haters
My attitude, yeah I’m going for the shaders

[Verse 2: Rara]
Live from the cracks of the concrete
12 try to take a nigga off the street
Make the gun sound off for Mike Brown
Take a nigga life when you face down
Hoodie gang strong like Trayvon
Gun by the window like Detroit Red
Bring that shit by the neck of my woods
And bet a nigga ass end up dead
Pig in a blanket, fuck was you thinkin’?
Free that nigga Boosie, runnin’ at the police
Left him with a slow leak, right outside VC
Tryna keep a Phantom like DC
Hangout the G like free Meek
Kill a nigga reachin’ for a cell phone
Hurt to tell his mama he ain’t comin’ home
That’s why I stay strapped all summer long
And you know it

[Hook: Quavo]
Black man, drop top
There go the cops
There go the cops
There go the cops
Is it because of my people?
Is it because of my sneakers?
Is it because of my jersey?
It is because that you nervous? (damn)

[Verse 3: Meek Mill]
Black man
Running from the law like Pac-Man
Try and throw the raw all in the trash can
Got smoked by a cop on the dash cam
Mug shot on the news, he a mad man
When all he did was hustle to run the cash in
He feedin’ kids in jail if he wasn’t crackin’
Too many felonies on my jacket
All of my brothers turn to assassins
We seen too many brothers get put in caskets
Too many young baby mothers and baby daddies
In the graveyard back then
I went from sittin’ on clubs to the cashmere
You shoulda seen how I flossed on ’em last year
Two Maybachs and I had a bad year
Young nigga countin’ money like a cashier
White man wanna pay me like I’m U-N-O
Niggas wanna see me at my funeral
Neither of my own homie wanna do me though
Layin’ on my dog crib like I’m Snoopy though
That’s my nigga, I ain’t even wanna do it though
If I don’t do it, shit I know he gon’ do me though
Cause he broke and he trippin’ ’bout stupid hoes
But I’m a Don just like motherfuckin’ Julio

Police see I got my hands up
Still wanna kill me, they don’t understand us
They be lookin’ for a reason just to shoot me
And wanna do me how they do us in the movies
Or how they do it out in Baton Rouge
Or Ferguson, or Florida, or Baltimore, they make excuses
Like I did cause I thought he had a pistol
Or I did it cause I thought he was a Muslim
My message to America, felon or death here
The liquor we die, we just substances left here
First you put us in a small hood
And then you beat us and you treat us like it’s all good
And then shoot us and you screw us economically, mentally
Killin’ nigga, no penalty, they can do that shit legally
Bet I can make that ass think ‘fore you shoot
You kill me, man there gon’ be more of some riotin’ and lootin’
We say black lives matter, you say all lives
But y’all ain’t the ones gettin’ hogtied
Persecuted, executed, one day it gon’ be time for retribution
Hope you don’t ever see your son in an institution
I know karma is constant and God ain’t no nonsense
You doin’ wrong just to run shit
One day the time gon’ run out for the dumb shit
Ain’t no deception, tryna get in Heaven
You gettin’ nailed, bet it’s on your Mary
And you know what you did for who how much you really care
And what you really felt, he gon’ deny the opportunity to unify
